The Peterson Family’s Family Photos at the Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki

When you get an email for a family session with two parents and eight kids you can’t help it but do a double take. But the Peterson Family was a fun bunch of adults-only vacationers celebrating Mom and Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. After 50 years, 4 children, 4 sons/daughters in law and 11 grandchildren, I’d say this group earned their vacation in paradise!

The Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki welcomed us to shoot on their property!

If you are staying at the Hale Koa Hotel, you are welcome to hire an “outside photographer” like me to come shoot your family photos. This is RARE in Hawaii, let me tell you. 99% of the hotels have in-house photographers on staff that their guests must use. It was such a wonderful change to shoot on a hotel property without having to worry about accidental photo-bombers or worrying about finding public parking.

I really enjoyed meeting the Peterson family! After our shoot they enjoyed the Luau at the Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki – I’ve heard its one of the best on island!
