Vacation Family Photos in KoOlina

The Chesley Family reached out to me about photographing them on their vacation to Oahu! They were staying in KoOlina which is a really beautiful spot for pictures. I only ever shoot there at sunrise due to the crowds and the way the light hits the beaches at other times of day. Sunrise is your only chance to get empty beaches AND even light at the KoOlina Lagoons.

This Family Vacation was a special time to reconnect after a deployment.

Part of the reason this sweet family came to Oahu was to celebrate the end of a long deployment. I love meeting other Military families. It’s very encouraging to see other people come through the harder days of military life. It was also a chance for them to scope out the island; they might be moving here next year! No matter the reason life brings you to Oahu, vacation family photos are an absolute must. These islands are magical!
