The Kualoa Ranch is one of the Best Wedding Venues on Oahu. It is on the East side of the island where the Jurassic Park movies and other major motion pictures are filmed every year. I photograph weddings there often, either for own business or as a second photographer for my photography colleagues. No matter the reason I am at the Kualoa Ranch, weddings at this Top Oahu Wedding Venue are always a favorite of mine!
Did you know the majority of wedding days need 2 photographers?
If you are planning a traditional wedding (not an elopement) at a wedding venue, like the Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch – you will probably need two photographers to photograph your wedding. This does NOT mean you need to hire two different companies. Thats actually a big “no no.” This means your photographer will bring along a “second shooter” to help them capture the day.
If you need more than 6 hours of coverage, and you have more than 50 guests – any photographer who would attempt to photograph your wedding day alone would be doing you a disservice. Wedding days have a lot of moving parts. Photographing weddings can be exhausting! So as a main photographer, I want someone else there to share the day with me.
While I photograph the wedding party, my second photographer can capture all the gorgeous ceremony details before guests sit down – and so on. If I need to hydrate, by second photographer can grab my water bottle so I don’t have to pause the wedding day timeline to go get it.
