A Tropical Destination Wedding
I usually shoot Oahu Destination Weddings, but this special day happened in San Diego! Rachael and Joe’s wedding day started at their hotel for getting ready, first look, couple’s portraits, wedding party and family formals… woah! But guess what? It all felt effortless with a big group of fun, excited and lovely people to be photographing. The large tropical leaves and sunny day made this destination wedding absolute perfection.
Rachael is the oldest of 4 girls, so she shared a very special first look with her dad. They are both the sweetest and of course, they were bringing tears to everyone’s eyes. On the flip side, Joe is an only child and the pride and happiness beaming from his parents faces was so perfect. This day brought together two awesome families!
As we walked across the street for their ceremony, everyone was ready to party! The views from their ceremony are tough to beat. I loved skyline views mixed with the tropical, Hawaiian vibe.
Because Rachael and Joe did a first look they were able to mingle for most of their cocktail hour.
I love when a couple makes their Oahu destination wedding day their own. Oh, and let’s not forget the signature rum punch cocktails that are famous at their venue. Nothing says Aloha like a Mai Tai!
The rest of the night continued with tearful speeches, sweet dances, cocktails, cake and even a choreographed dance by Rachael, her dad and sisters to “I want you back” by *NSYNC. I loved this wedding day so much!
When you are planning your Oahu destination wedding, it’s important to hire experienced vendors to help execute your wedding day plans. Planning from afar can be stressful, but know that The Copper Collective will be there so you can enjoy your day to its fullest!
